Staromizunsky

The Staromizunsky license was issued to Viva Exploration LLC in October 2013. The license is valid for 20 years of exploration and production. The block covers 263 km² in the Dolina napped flysch area of Carpathians. This is one of the largest and most material exploration concessions in Ukraine.

Twelve exploration wells were drilled in the block. Gas resources of the block are estimated in different times at 0.14 to 2.1 Tcf. The block is well delineated with historic drilling results indicating unstimulated flow rates of 400-1,750 MCFpd. The existing well and seismic coverage suggests a continuous and extensive gas in place resource.

The license is transected by the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod and the Western extension of the Progress and Soyuz “magistral” gas pipelines, which transit gas from Russia to Central Europe. This is owing to the fact that it is immediately adjacent to regional gas hub at the Dolina gas compressor facility.

Exploratory commitments include drilling of 4 exploration wells by 2021. There is also a requirement to shoot additional seismic or reinterpret existing seismic.
